Nestor is Matt Gaetz’s fictive kin. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Many of us have created families from people who we’re not related to by blood. Gaetz, however, misrepresented that relationship to score political points. He used Nestor the same way racists say they have a black friend to convince you they’re not racist. To me, this is not the actions of someone who loves Nestor like a son.
