Egyptian Cleric: Valentine's Day is Worse Than AIDS, Ebola, and Cholera

In many ways what the Jihadis fear the most is the image of a pretty Arab girl in a mini-skirt, sipping a coke and going off to their job - protected by equal rights under the law.

A simple fact of the matter is that cultures that afford greater rights to their women tend to be more civilized. If you have to actually respect her as a person and she has lots of rights to tell you to go to hell, you really must clean up your act.

The Jihadis are terrified of this. More to the point, the essence of Jihadism is a malignant inferiority complex. Everything is someone else’s fault. The proud Jihadi feels downtrodden and angry. If he were to take responsibility for himself it would destroy the need to punish others. It also would hold up his internal failures to the light.

If you are dealing with an essentially weak man, he will puff himself up and get “macho.” How can such a fragile ego face a woman, and a woman’s criticisms on equal terms without collapsing into a fit of dispair and rage?

If we truly want to fight Jihad, one of our primary fronts should be the education and emancipation of women in these nations. I am saying that the typical Jihadi is a weak, weak individual. I am saying that Fatima, if given her rights, will put him in his place.
