I think if you give his statement a fair reading, he is making the point that the socons are the ones who consider STDs as punishment for having sex in the first place. That abstinence only should not be the one and only method taught to our teens.
Abstinence only doesn’t work. We need to be realistic and encourage the use of condoms for those who are sexually active.
