Issa, Cantor and the rest will hold as many hearings as it takes to hear their voices (in their heads) and get someone to admit that the Administration did something (anything) even remotely wrong.

Suppositions will suffice for this purpose.

The facts, however, tell a different tale.

Congress is sitting on the State Department’s $2.2 billion request for security upgrades to its diplomatic missions worldwide. That includes money for additional Marine detachments, better security plans, etc.

The GOP is going to play politics with all this.

Thing is that the Administration and the Defense Department already made changes to reduce chances of another attack on a diplomatic facility that the military couldn’t respond to in a timely fashion. A rapid reaction force that will be stationed in Spain (IIRC) that could get to locations within a period of time from when the word is given to get help.
