Hmm… you know, there used to be a time when news organizations would do things like … fact checking … before they aired the story.
But, then again, their bullshit detectors need to be sent back to the factory for recalibration. Seriously, his story of “heroics” on his part had all sorts of unlikely events in it.
News media today is afraid of getting scooped by bloggers and social media. The thing of it is, even though they’re so afraid of it to the point where they’re rushing stories to production, THEY’RE STILL LOSING. Maybe they should step back and use the vast powers of the Interwebs as a proper source, rather than viewing it as competition…
