The media is scared to death of offending Trump. If they bring up something not putting Trump in his best light they’ll get the Megyn Kelly treatment and barred from ratings pumping Trump phone interviews.

What could they say at this point that wouldn’t actually help him? Attacks from outsiders reinforce the convictions of people inside the bubble (this started under Reagan) and nothing from any of the other GOP candidates has had any effect except to make him even more popular.

I wonder how the Clinton campaign will handle him. Their normal instinct is to attack attack attack, but the regular rules have gone out the window this time.
