I guess the part i have a hard time understanding is that these guys perpetrating all of this shit are dependent on the rest of us following the rules when they decide to break them. They give no thought whatsoever that there are tipping points in all things and seem to believe that there will be no consequences for their actions.

My own outrage is building and has been at a furious boil over these last few months and even I have to admit, there are times where I wonder why the crowd just doesn’t say “fuck it” and overrun these supposed guardians of law and order and leave them stripped of weapons, clothes and dignity, bruised and battered in the streets. I am glad that they have resisted that temptation but I suspect that a great deal of it is that these people are better humans than I am.
