This is what a lot of Sufis are like, I’ve found. They emphasize the unifying elements in Islam.

As I’ve said:

Bin Laden would love to blow up this community center. Preferably while full of Sufis. Failing that, he’d love to disallow the building of any Sufi Mosque.

The right wing is doing Bin Laden’s work for him.
