There is a certain brand of earnest homophobe who is sure gay men are just miserable. They actually exist. Of course, they have to force themselves to avoid noticing all the happy and successful gay men, but by only focusing on the sad cases, they can stay inside their little bubble.

That’s why they hate Ellen Degeneres. She seems to be happy and successful.

The proper gay person either gives it up or kills themself.
