Just for the halibut, I’ll paste my response over here:
I am aware of these things. The only one I disagree with is that the Republican Party will die. It won’t. The craziness is here to stay, and the only recourse is to hold your nose, jump in the pool and crowd them out.

Personally, I don’t care what party people register as, or how they deal with their primaries.

What I do advocate is that all civilized people never vote Republican in a contested general election.

The GOP needs to have an extended streak of big losses in order to have any chance of reform. That hasn’t happened since the FDR era.

Until the GOP starts losing big, all attempted reform will be futile, because the GOP insanity and malice du jour will be seen as ‘working’.
