So, D. D’Souza thinks the evil “Democrat Party” managed to take over every state government in the south, set up its headquarters in Richmond and persuade a million southerners to fight for them, often with no pay, no shoes, and rags for uniforms; and all this against the will of these selfsame southerners? If so, he must believe that these southerners were the weakest willed and most gullible people in history.
