You would have thought that the protocol director (or whatever their title is) would have worked overtime to make up for the Gordon Brown fiasco.

It looks like they did because in addition to the iPod (stuffed with pictures and video of the Queen’s visit to the US in 2007), there was a gift of a songbook signed by Richard Rogers. The iPod was not a last minute “oh shit no gift” fumble.
