I must disagree here to full amnesty for illegals… To do that would be a slap in the face to my wife who immigrated legally. It was a long (years), costly (thousands of dollars), painful process (separation, we had a daughter together) for us. Every step of the way was difficult. Then the State Department made it worse. I finally had to enlist the help of my congressman… he took care of it.

That’s kinda like saying, since I walked 5 miles uphill to go to school, my grandsons should do the same, and skip the bus. If the process can be made more humane, the better.

Then, I’m not for full amnesty either, but a rather path of legalization.
