Hotel-ovee doom, phonetically. And maniacally appropriate, actually. The one I lived in was hopelessly infested with bedbugs. They called in exterminators to fumigate the room, but it did no good. The bedbugs were back in less than two weeks; they came in from the room across the hall.
The entire building was bedbug heaven. Power failures were a weekly occurrence, as the building’s main electrical panel was built in the late 1950s and never replaced. It was also built in the USSR, not the Czech Republic.
