In 1992 and 2008, we had multiple candidates who did what multiple candidates do: they stated their own record and went after the others. This is no different and is how they are actually supposed to work. If they can’t survive this, and people watching them can’t get some sense of proportionality, then the candidate won’t make it to president.

At this stage they should be showcasing their unique virtues without submarining the entire party. If the game is to open a rival’s arteries, they’re doing it wrong.
