gmsc’s money tips #17:

I mentioned some blogs that are a good source of financial advice in money tips #8.

Here are a few more that I really should’ve mentioned earlier, but didn’t do so for one reason or another:

Consumerist’s Personal Finance Category – I mentioned Consumerist, but wanted to put special attention to their Personal Finance category. It usually has more current event-related finance information (free goodies, special deals, and so on) than its sibling blog (siblog?) Lifehacker and its Personal Finance category

Coyote Blog’s Economics Category – I’ve also mentioned Coyote Blog before, but you should pay special attention to the Economic section in the current climate, as Coyote seems to have a very clear head and the ability to convey his perception just as clearly.

The Objective American – Alas, the writer of this excellent blog, Ernie Ross, died back in 2003 (The blog itself is only available via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine). However, he wrote about principles, so a large percentage of his entries still ring true today. The economic posts are especially interesting, both as a view from the past, and their relevancy to today’s climate. If you enjoy Bill Whittle’s work, I know you’ll enjoy Ernie Ross’ work, as well.
