Do you know how Mike Piazza was picked? A friend of Tommy Lasordas asked him to pick him in the 13th (I may be wrong here) round. He seemed to be a good ball player.

62nd. Crazy how that works out huh. Piazza is also Tommy’s godson I believe. I’m also amazed that Mike Trout lasted to 25th overall. My understanding is that because he played in NJ the scouts thought his level of competition wasn’t good but I’ll tell you this much. I’d rather have him than Harper.
