The disparity in wages means that China’s domestic market is very anemic compared to the international market, so there’s no way that China can continue to be prosperous without others being so as well. This is the situation we’re approaching; the current trend in corporations is to deep wages depressed, which, if everyone does it, lowers the total amount of buying power, and slows the economy down. Income disparity is a big problem for capitalism; it acts like an ever-increasing brake.
