CBS now reporting that there was powder, and an apparent timing device.

My thoughts are with the NYPD and authorities tonight. With what I’m hearing it does sound akin to past AQ attempts in London and other spots. The scary part being that there were usually multiple car bombs in those past events, even the failed ones. I know they are searching like mad right now just in case this isn’t isolated.

AQ & the like are the probable perps, but I remember clearly that they were initially blamed after Oklahoma City.
