I went to college in Gunnison, CO. -20° F to -40° F temperatures were not uncommon. I remember one cold snap where it didn’t get above -15° F for about two weeks. Then one day it got up to 19° F and I shit you not people were walking around in shorts (myself included), playing volleyball outside and skateboarding in the skate park.
