That was said by the O’Keefe people, not by the NPR fundraiser. And there is no way to confirm he agreed, because he did not say anything in response.

You can say that he should have challenged them, but once again, this was not a programming meeting, or a public debate, this was a feeler for a big donation.

I think I can dislike him without thinking he overstepped the bounds.
