Nobody did that, but the tea party members themselves.

It’s been on the Sunday a.m. talk shows this morning. Biden was asked about it on This Week and said that there are elements of the tea party who have made racist comments, but even he didn’t condemn the whole movement.

I have some neighbors who I’ve always thought to be nice folks, though I’ve never had more than brief chats about the weather and such. They have “Don’t Tread on Me” and “No on Socialism!” stuff on their cars and in lawn decor so I can tell they’re tea party types. I don’t breach the subject of politics with them.

So this morning I was out walking my pooch and they were out so I stopped for a minute to say g’morning. Seems we have new neighbors who are black. The tea party neighbors couldn’t wait to tell me about them with a whispered “you know how THEY are” comment” like I should be VERY concerned. Couldn’t get away from them fast enough.
