Again, there are true believers, idealists who really thought that Bernie could somehow win the Presidency and singlehandedly change the face of American politics, society and the economy. Some have shown a bit of sense and decided to support the DNC nominee, others were just born to whine.

And then there were a lot of ratfuckers, either foreign trolls or domestic, who only wanted to see Bernie nominated because it was believed (in my opinion correctly) that he would be easier to beat than Biden.

At this point, I think “Berner” could best be described as applying to those “true believers” who are acting like the last hold-outs of a dying regime, ready to charge the guns and die honorably than admit they failed. The MAGAts are already beginning to drop the act, while those who’ve chosen to support Biden are making pretty clear they want no part in the settling of scores.
