I never paid much attention to her until American Idol, but I like her on there.

Ellen was a source of confusion to me from the start. I saw the show a couple of times, and assumed it was about a lesbian character. Then she was dating a man in one episode, so I figured I hadn’t understood.

Then all my friends were calling me up, all excited because “Ellen came out!” And all I could think of to say was “Ellen was in?”
