In general, the husband and I appreciate that we didn’t meet until I was 21. (And moved out and independent and bringing home my own paycheck to support the then-deadbeat boyfriend.)
Otherwise it would have been even trickier.
I was an ex-seminarian in the draft Army. She was a skydiving 18 yr old NCO’s daughter in a ‘66 Mustang with a copy of the Kama Sutra in the fastback. We married that year in NYC, combined income $120.00 per week.
Times were different then.
