I have one of those cats. She’s a left paw drinker. I have one of those “fountain” watering bowls, looks like a planter pot but has water in it and the water is circulating via a pump. She will get her face in the water to make sure it’s water, and then she switches to drinking with her paw. Edit: She’s still a cat about it. She doesn’t like me watching her do it.
