Honestly, I hope you and Sergey are right. I’d love to see a real ass-kicking by Obama and a twofer of sending a bunch R’s packing, but I’d prefer to see a real ass-kicking by Obama with Romney as the Republican candidate.

It would take one of every three Republican voters — folks who knew Sarah Palin was a heartbump away from the Presidency — to desert a Paul candidacy to get the numbers down to 30%.

If I had Mitt Romney’s money, I’d bet ten grand that the Republican nominee — whoever he or she might be — would get at least 40% of the vote.

For the honor of the presidency, I would much rather see Obama beat Romney.
