Personally I think it was a mistake to release this now. He should have waited until the GOP primary was in full swing, and let the GOP battle itself over the relevance of this issue.

And wait for Trump to bow out? Nah.

This not only settles the issue with sane people, but it gives the GOP leadership a Trump sized headache, because now the lunatics think he’s a hero for “forcing” Obama to release the long-form. If Trump doesn’t run now, the lunatics will be even more inclined to demand a birther candidate, which screws over all the people who are being named as potential candidates.
