The Prince can be used by either side of the political aisle, but imo conservatives have never been smart enough to do so. Whenever they did gain power, it was fleeting and they didn’t accomplish much (thinking of Newt’s Contract with America).

This whole notion that Republicans are too [nice/innocent/slow/good-natured/fair/naive] to deal with power makes me laugh.
