I did not get the benefit of college; when I took the VA’s placement test after the Navy detected my epilepsy, the VA determined what I would be suited for, then said I was unemployable and my college benefits were revoked. (They could have just done the “unemployable” part first, rather than getting me fired up for school.) Under the law, the VA will not even pay for barber school with an “unemployable” rating.
