Honestly, we all know it’s going to be a strictly partisan vote in both houses. The way American politics is nowadays, you vote for the man from your party, not the man who won or the man who would to the most good for America.

Has that ever been true in the past? There may have been faithless electors, but the Electoral College makes the decision without members of Congress or the Senate interfering in the process, regardless of the winning party. Does anyone really think that other Republicans will take this route?
