The real fun will be watching the GOP juggle how we can’t get involved in Libya and we also can’t leave Afghanistan.

Yours and some of the other comments instantly worry about partisan politics. That’s a shame.

It’s hard for me to compare Libya and Afghanistan. We went into Afghanistan with congressional approval, as our constitution calls for. It seemed to me Obama could’ve gotten biprtisan congressional approval for Libya had he chosen to follow the constitution. But, for whatever reasons, he chose to break the law and the constitution and go against everything he said on matters of this nature when he was Candidate Obama. When a president does that, he’ll get little sympathy for me when he finds himself with political problems as a result.

As for Afghanistan, it’s difficult for a layperson like myself to assess the decisions being made today. It may take years, perhaps MANY years, before we know if the decisions being made right now are wise ones. I can only hope they are. Emotionally, I’m glad to hear troops will be coming home.
