Hopefully one day you will get some local politicians that align with your principles and aren’t crazy. I’m really sad about the state of the Republican party. Even though most would consider me a liberal* I really wish Republicans would get their shit together because it helps keep Democrats honest. But if the only other party is bat-shit insane then Democrats think they have the sane vote by default and get lazy and stupid.

*Personally, I don’t really like the conservative and liberal labels. It’s like you can be defined as somewhere along a continuous spectrum. But I think of my views more as an emission spectrum. The light might be perceived as a single color by eye, but when broken down with a prism individual lines show up spread all across the spectrum in various places. I was even going to call it Quantum Politics and make a little essay about it but inspiration hasn’t really hit yet.
