I think it’s time for an alarm system. I still have the original 100 yr old windows and doors which should probably be replaced for security (and energy) concerns too. It is unnerving. My yard it tough to get in and out of. I assume they had been poking around in there before. Pretty spooky.

It sounds terrifying. I am sorry you experienced that. A security system sounds like a good plan.
