That is why the Navy is only buying 3. Also F-22 is cancelled with a small buy. F-35 continues to ratchet up in price by the minute. Helicopters continue to be a bargain (I am not at all biased).

I got to work some with the folks working the DDG-1000 program. I started calling it the USS Spinal Tap. Every system on there is “It goes to 11, it’s one more”. 6 inch gun vs 5 inch, SQQ-90 vs. SQQ-89 etc…
