Well, the paleo/hate right is latching onto Wade Nicholas, and if not him then Mark Cuban.

Our old friends at National Racists Online have yet to tackle Nicholas Wade’s book, but they’re all in on defending Mark Cuban”:

Eric Holder Was Right

Where we find plenty of I’m-not-a-racist-really comments such as:

What would happen if every non-black person would refuse to have this conversation.

Because, as You say, it is not wanted and just taken advantage of.

If You sit at a table with black friends and the discussion comes up, just say: “Sorry, but I don’t want to discuss this.”

Starve them of their fodder for a year.

How could a man as intelligent as Mark Cuban not understand what liberals—especially black liberals—mean when they talk about a dialogue concerning racial relations? Their idea of a dialogue is denunciations and demands on their part, answered by apologies and groveling accession on our part. Cuban fails to understand that as a white man he is irredeemably evil and that he has no right to be afraid of any black individual whatsoever. Even if the hooded black teenager on a dark street has felonious, indeed murderous intentions, Cuban would only be getting what he deserves.

I disagree with Cooke: it’s unfair to call Americans “cowards” for being reluctant to engage in discussions of race when the radical Left is just waiting, fangs dripping with venom, to strike. Its weapons are dishonest but potent: reckless accusations of racism on the one hand, the argument from intimidation on the other. Cooke also seems to agree (at least by default) that white racism is a subject that needs a lot of discussion - why? Very few white people are prejudiced against blacks any more; the reverse is sadly perhaps less true (talk about a conversation Holder doesn’t want to have!).

It will, however, take real bravery to talk about the evils of “affirmative action” which systematically discriminates against whites (especially white males) and Asians, and which has never been justifiable. Can you imagine a Republican talking about the need to end affirmative action? Neither can I - but think of the screams on the Left!

They tell us to check our privilege. They tell us that to be white in America is to be inherently racist. They tell us that it is a lie (and in fact a form of bigotry in itself) to claim to be colorblind, and that we must acknowledge our own bigotry.

So then a man does that. He checks his privilege, owns up to his own bigotry, and castigates himself for his sins. And for that, he is vilified by the same progressives who demanded just that.

And so forth. All signals of pent up resentment. If only they could speak their mind and not be censored - I did notice that NRO deleted a couple of comments.
