Let me start this by saying that I’m not in favor of the Death Penalty, because even if I’d prefer not to share the planet with folks like Ted Bundy, there have been far too many innocents sentenced, and killed.

But a couple things about the Arkansas executions strike me as odd. First, the idea that you can’t use poisons after their expiration dates, to kill people. That’s just weird.

But beyond that, we’re DROWNING in heroin and other opiates. People are dying all over the place of ODs from fentanyl-laced heroin. We know pretty well how much morphine it takes to kill a person. And yet we’re using drugs that may be causing pain, etc, rather than the opiates we’re spending untold amounts of money, saving people from dying of.

But maybe we should just stop?
