re: #73 Anymouse đšđ
Another example of changing word usage can be found right here at Little Green Footballs.
The word âdownstairsâ is used by everyone here to refer to comments in the previous thread. If you go back over my worthless commentary over my years here, I have never used the word âdownstairs.â
If someone felt insulted by my usage of âfrom the previous threadâ rather than âdownstairsâ (because my brain locks up thinking of a blog thread identifying as a staircase), particularly if that person is Mr. Johnson, Iâll change my usage. I may do so anyway eventually, simply because âdownstairsâ has fewer letters for my not-so-well working fingers to type.
The same goes for âLizard,â a member of the community here. I really have trouble thinking of people as reptiles (Iâm not David Icke).
As for two spaces after a full stop versus one, I have no trouble switching between the two, since I use a typewriter all the time (my Royal typewriter is right next to my computer).
I have no problem with thinking of Lizards as reptiles. I am often one myself.
