Heh.

On a serious note, this kind of rhetoric spewing from the Republican candidates, though not new, is dangerous. Surely, they must know this. They MUST know that.
Also, who the hell is Alinsky?
I know I’m only 26, but come on. Wasn’t he some crackpot lefty in the 60’s?

Alinsky was like the Cesar Chavez of community organizers, although he preceded Chavez. He worked in Chicago, but died long before Obama moved there. Still, he’s called one of Obama’s main influences, like it was a bad thing.

He is generally considered to be the founder of modern community organizing, and has been compared to Thomas Paine as being “one of the great American leaders of the nonsocialist left.”

…and conservative author William F. Buckley said he was “very close to being an organizational genius.”
