Isn’t this different than the No True Scotsman fallacy? I always think of NTS when say something like a right wing nutcase goes on a shooting spree and the other right wingers claim NO HE WAS REALLY A LEFT WINGER despite all evidence to the contrary.

Eh, depends how you look at it. He’s Jewish, and what Goldberg said

As in “no True Jew could support Obama” etc. That’s how I look at it.
