So how long before the wingnuts start screaming that Obama is “wasting billions” in preparation for Irene only because it’s headed basically heading towards the heart of the Federal government?

I heard his statement while I was out running some errands. He sounded very much in control and concerned for those in the storm’s path.

The White House is way out in front of this. They learned the lessons of Katrina well from the sound of it.
