True, it’s like talking about a 9.9 vs. a 10. But as good as the ‘96 Bulls were, we can always speculate about how they could have been even better with Hakeem Olajuwon at center; or the ‘76 Reds with Nolan Ryan on the pitching staff.

I really think that “Excuse me while I whip this out” would have been even more hilarious, almost surreal and subversive, delivered by Pryor. He probably wrote the line, so who better to say it? And he certainly had chemistry with Gene Wilder, as later films would show.

Alas. it wasn’t to be, but at least Pryor was involved in the writing (and I’ll wager he wrote bits and gags all throughout the movie, not just for Little). To me, that’s a more fitting contribution for him.
