Well, the usual objection to the death penalty of some doubt about innocence or racism would not apply in the is case, and it’s a hard one to object to. Still, on balance, maybe life without parole would be the better option.

The problem is that you are not allowed to decide that only the “super guilty” people get the death penalty while others get life in religion, there’s no way you could legally define “super guilty” in any way that was just and fair.

Also life in prison is cheaper.
