Amost sounds like they are participating in a conspiracy, while in prison.

I could kinda see that but it looks like the actual idea of an auction is legal, if repugnant. and I’d be loathe to suggest a solution, because it’d be difficult to tailor it in such a way that it doesn’t affect all the excellent work being done by other groups on behalf of people who may be deserving of the help.

Now if somehow they could link the groups doing this as having set Roeder up to commit the murder so they could profit off selling these items, then you would have a conspiracy, I just don’t think this is the case.
