The mosquitoes are just starting to come around here. No spray needed for my party yesterday, but I’ll need some when I have people over this summer.

The skitters up here are worst in the early morning and before sunset. During the middle of the day they’re not bad if it’s sunny with a good stiff breeze. The black flies only last a couple of weeks where I am, but boy are they vicious tiny buggers - unlike the skitters (who just stick and suck), they literally eat little holes in you and you don’t even know they’ve done it until you touch the spot and get a blood smear on your hand.
Ain’t nature grand?
