In case you wonder why they piss me off:

The Republican Party (of Illinois, as stated in that pdf) endorses a constitutional
amendment protecting our Defense of Marriage Act and enshrining in constitutional law marriage as it is
defined in our “DOMA.”

So yeah! Your family member is the enemy to me. Sorry dude! I don’t sell defense seats or whatever. I’m just this guy who doesn’t like being demonized! Or having my friends demonized.

So no. i’ll never apologize to your family. Not ever. They should apologize to me.
