I (a white male) have been pulled over by the cops for no reason whatsoever. I didn’t make a spectacle of myself or throw a tantrum or cry racism for being detained in my own car. I just complied with the officer, showed my license and registrion then went on my merry way incident free. I still have no idea what it was about. At least they gave Gates a reason.

So the solution to unchecked police power is to not ask any questions when detained without cause? I’m not saying you should mouth off to every cop you see, but the police themselves should not be above the law. Once Gates showed that he lived in the house, the police have no reason to be there.
