Trump and his know nothing GOP would love to de-fund the very municipalities and urban areas that generate a majority of the tax revenues that help prop up the rural and mostly GOP controlled states around the nation.

The GOP doesn’t mind redistribution of wealth, so long as they benefit from it - the rich getting richer, or making sure that the Blue States subsidize their low state taxes and lifestyles.

Bannon/Trump/GOP still think there’s godawful carnage around the nation, and is trying to hang it on illegal aliens, minorities, and yet the reality is that crime is at multidecade lows, and that if they really wanted to do something about crime and homicides and gun violence, they’d stop sucking at the teat of the NRA and show some spine. But they’re too busy getting campaign contributions and sucking up to these gun access absolutists that the body count is on them.
