Who has an axe to grind and why is this coming out now? We know that McCain ran an awful campaign and his best move was to select Palin as his running mate. It was the biggest (and only) real boost to his campaign the entire time he ran.

This reads like someone is settling scores - the DC way.

McCain’s staff seems to want to throw all the blame on Palin rather than admit they had a mediocre candidate and ran a crappy campaign.
