There really are some fairly big downsides to being a red head. A lot of them are they way you can be treated, especially for some males. When people expect you to be personality type based on your hair color and you are not, it can be very emotionally hurtful. Again…my experience with two brothers.

Out of 30-some cousins, one has red hair. When we were kids, I saw him use humor as a survival tactic, making funny remarks about and straight to adults who were less than polite to him. I thought he’d end up as a professional comedian, but he seems to be happy with his photography studio.
